  National Drinking Water Clearinghouse

The National Drinking Water Clearinghouse has an online (Results 3.0) database that provides a registry of technologies available for small systems cross-referenced to the companies that supply the specific technology or equipment. The search can be tailored choosing specific information such as state, vendor, contaminant, technology, and population.

  NSF International

NSF International certifies specific equipment for specific processes related to drinking water. The listings for drinking water treatment units and drinking water additives will be of particular interest to small systems.

  Small System Compliance Technology Lists

The USEPA has compiled Small System Compliance Technology Lists for the Surface Water Treatment Rule, Total Coliform Rule, and Non-microbial Contaminants regulated before 1996. These documents can be downloaded from the website for easy reference.

  USDA Water Programs

The USDA Rural Utilities Service sponsors a number of Water and Environmental Programs. Programs of note to Small Systems are include the cooperative effort with the National Rural Water Association and new, $112 loan/grant program for water and other environmental programs in small communities.
